SOME QUESTIONS WITH ANSWERS

➤ Is this website safe to use and what about any information I give to you?

Yes it is! Please note we have added an extra layer of protection to our website which includes secure transmission of any data you send us through the web forms. This information is encrypted and transmitted securely. This is confirmed by the padlock symbol to the left of our website address in your browser address bar. In addition, we respect your privacy which is of paramount importance to us. See our privacy policy which is our guarantee to you.

➤Can I take a course with you during the present COVID-19 pandemic?

We offer home stay immersion courses with your tutor, lessons only and on-line courses. For the present, it is unsafe to offer home stay courses and courses are now delivered on-line. We hope to offer home stay courses as soon as the authorities (Irish and EU) make a decision that it is safe for non-family members to visit and stay with our tutors. Until such time as it is safe to do so we cannot offer in-person courses. That said, we are hopeful that we can recommence in-person courses for Summer 2021. We will update our website with news. Please see our statement on Health and Safety.

➤ I see you offer home stay courses. Do you also offer lessons as I have my own accommodation or online courses?

Yes in addition to home stay courses, we offer one-to-one lessons and online courses. For lessons follow this link: LESSONS and for online courses this is the link: ONLINE

Good question! Well, we are very experienced in the One-to-One sector and in fact are a group of tutors who have come together for this purpose. All our tutors are fully qualified English language professionals who hold internationally accredited teaching qualifications.
Show More...We have kept our administrative costs to an absolute minimum and this is represented in competitive pricing for our courses.
In addition, you have our absolute guarantee that your tutor and family will be friendly and welcoming. Furthermore, your course will be professionally designed and presented. Your tutor's home will be very comfortable allowing you to learn in a relaxed atmosphere.

➤ Why should I take a professional course with you?

If you use or need English for your professional activities, we recommend that you take a professional course with us. Professional courses are designed to present English in a way that is relevant to your activities and meets your professional needs. The tutor does not try to teach you what you already know but instead encourages you to use English in a way that is appropriate and useful for you in carrying out your professional activities.
Show More...While nearly everyone needs to improve aspects of their general English, it is important that you do not overlook your professional needs. A general English course will focus on general English only and not address your professional needs. Obviously, we have different tutors for our various courses so it is very important to fully inform us of your reasons for taking a course and what your course objectives are. We can then advise you on the course that meets your needs....Show Less

➤ What happens when I reserve a course?

Immediately we receive your reservation we will check to confirm that the course dates you have chosen are available and that we have a suitable tutor to match your profile. If the dates requested by you are not available, then we will offer you some alternatives for your consideration. Flexibility with your course dates is really helpful in placing you with the most appropriate tutor.
Show More...Assuming everything is fine then we will send some details of the tutor recommended for your course for your acceptance, an enrollment form for completion and details concerning payment. We ask you to pay 10% of the cost of the course or €250 (whichever is greater) with your booking and the balance is payable one month before the course is due to commence. If there is less than one month before course commencement, then the full cost of the course is payable on presentation of invoice....Show Less

All our tutors are personally known to us and we have inspected their homes to ensure that they meet our high standards. We have tutors for various professional and business courses, others for general English and young learners and so on. We will provide you with a full description of your tutor, family and location. All our tutors are on-line and easily contacted by e-mail. Show More...Your tutor will welcome hearing from you. Hopefully, you will not need it but imagine if you couldn't travel after having paid your course fees! These are relevant considerations even if they are most unlikely to happen and insurance gives you peace of mind. Show More... Policies of insurance are easily purchased directly from any insurance company or through your travel agent. ➤Can you give me some travel information?

As Ireland is an island you will have to take a flight or ferry to reach us! Dublin, which is the capital city, is very well served by Irish and international airlines but you should book early especially in summer.
Dublin Airport (Visit Website ) is easily reached from all major cities in Europe. If you are travelling from South America you will have to travel via a connecting airport such as Madrid or Lisbon. Your travel company will advise you on the best way of travelling to Ireland. Most European, US, Middle Eastern, and some Asian (from Mainland China and Hong Kong) and North African airlines serve Dublin Airport.

Irish based carriers such as Aer Lingus (Visit Website) and Ryanair have an extensive network of daily connections covering Europe and the US.

Dublin Airport is located about 10 kilometres north of Dublin city. The airport is well served by taxis. Dublin is also a major port with frequent ferries to the UK. By far the most convenient way to travel here is by airplane.

On arrival in Dublin there are numerous coaches and buses to the city centre and other locations. These are located outside the arrivals area and clearly indicated. Aircoach (Visit Website) (blue bus) and Dublin Bus (Visit Website) (green bus) are the largest operators.

If you have requested airport transfers then your tutor will be waiting for you in the Arrivals Hall as arranged.

Yes you should make sure you let us know your travel arrangements at least one week before you arrive. Obviously, if you have paid for airport transfers your tutor will have made arrangements for collecting you from the appropriate airport terminal.

➤Do I need to bring anything with me?
